Here at Tower Cleaners, we’ve made a considerable investment in the most advanced environmentally-friendly dry cleaning technologies.

Energy Savings

Our new production facility, completed in 2013, incorporates cutting-edge technologies that are helping to minimize our carbon footprint and increase efficiency, including:

  • High-efficiency boilers with control systems that continually monitor and adjust to create the highest burn efficiency;
  • Heat exchangers that recover and reuse machinery exhaust to pre-heat water and eliminate the need for water heaters;
  • High-efficiency, energy-saving commercial washers and dryers;
  • Installation of energy-efficient lighting and daylighting/skylights throughout the 16,000 square foot facility.

Green Practices

The green practices at Tower Cleaners go beyond technology and drycleaning. We recycle or reuse our packaging, including hangers, bags, boxes and paper goods, and offer reusable laundry bags to our customers to cut down on plastic waste. Tower Cleaners also has a company-wide paper recycling program, and offers electronic billing to our clients and electronic paystubs to our employees to cut down on paper waste.

In addition, we have installed programmable thermostats and occupancy sensors throughout our facility, and have set our computers and monitors to hibernate after 30 minutes of inactivity – a practice that has proven to save up to 70% of energy usage.
